8 Month Old One Day per Week

So I have this family that keeps asking and asking and asking for me to take their 8 month old one day a week. My reasons why I keep telling her no are: (1) He is not the easiest baby!! (2) I already have a 12 month old dcg (I've had 2 babies at once before and I'm SO done with that) (3) Even though it's just one day, taking care of 2 babies ****s up all my time and I have no time for the older kids (4) I'm pregnant with my first baby and I have no idea what to expect being pregnant, let alone being pregnant and taking care of kids.

Am I being irrational?? I don't know.. part of me feels like I am being stupid for not taking him because it is just one day a week.

You are not being irrational at all, especially since you said that he isn't an easy baby and you already have another baby and you are pregnant! Plus, a lot of babies won't adjust to just coming one day a week and it'll just make it hard for you and him.

    Keep telling them no.

It would irrational to knowingly take on a situation that will create a negative outcome on your day. You are not being stupid saying no.

Um, no. A rational person would stop asking.

Go with your gut. Unless they are paying for a full time slot, it is not worth the effort involved. Even at full rate, this family sounds, um, irrational.
        - Unless otherwise stated, all my posts are personal opinion and worth what you paid for them.

I would not accept a 1 day a week regular because they never get into the routine. I wouldn't accept a second baby knowing you're about to have your own. In OR you can only have 2 under 24m so I won't be able to take on more than one at a time unless I'm done having kids.
