Where Are All of My Kids????

Here I sit, 8:15 on a Monday morning-alone.

My 7am didn't show (received a call 30 minutes after drop off time saying he wouldn't be here)

My 7:30am didn't show (text 15 minutes after drop off time saying she wouldn't be here)

My 8am isn't here yet.

What is going on???????

That happened to me years ago - Columbus Day is one of the federal holidays here that schools, governments, and some businesses get off around here. I had one where I waited and no one showed. Lesson learned. I'm closed today with pay.

Hey- same thing happened to me! I'm at half my crew and the rest are about to miss my drop off cutoff. The 7am no call no show when my own kids are home and I could have slept in was especially annoying.

Our schools are out here but I am open. I hope many miss today. I would love a more relaxed day!

I try to keep track of all the federal holidays since all schools, government offices, etc are closed here. I find I either had no one, or I'd get one kid whose parents were off...

Yeah, the 7am and 7:30am no shows were a bit annoying. I could've slept for another hour. As it is my 8am wasn't dropped off until 8:15.

Really dcd, you couldn't let poor little one sleep in just a teensy bit???

Mine were all running a bit late today too.

The only one I time today was the one family that is habitually late every other day. ::

I don't mind when families run late...I get to daycare the same time every day anyways so when my first drop off (or any of them really) is late, I get a ton of stuff done and get to read the entire newspaper while enjoying an extra cup of coffee so it's all good.

In service day for my teachers and the other has work. DH is home so we are going to have a pizza party.

I'm supposed to have 6 today, but only 4 are here.

Last week there were a couple of days that I thought I would have off, but just when I thought I would be able to go garage saleing, one just had to show up... I never get that lucky.

my 7:30 showed up at 8:20 with only one of her 2 kids - the other is staying home with dad. Could she not have texted me this info earlier this morning???????

my others are here as usual, our kids have half day of school, teacher in service rest of the day so all teachers are working here!

I have 3 kids out for the day - one being my instigator, so this should be a pretty good day.
