    No Sibling Discount

How do you explain this when asked by a potential client?

I usually say just say no I do not offer a discount, which usually ends the call (on their end).

Do you go into detail saying you do not give discounted care, therefore no discounted rate? Or do you just say no?

    I say:

Siblings do not receive discounted care therefore do not receive rates.

    Or

Rates are based on enrollment not attendace or relation to others.

I usually just say no to the question. I don't think I have had to go further than that other than one time. And that time I just told them they were paying for the space and with a limited number of spaces available and the fact that it didn't cost any less for me because they were a sibling I couldn't charge less.

I dont think there is anything you can say to a parent to help them come around to a no-discount situation. If they are looking for the lowest rate, they will just pass you by and keeping calling places. You just have to be prepared to stick by your rates and wait for the right families.

Thanks, I guess I find it frustrating when someone calls and everything sounds good until they throw in the discount part and then their tune changes.

It kind of annoys me that they expect a discount, so I usually just answer with no.

This last time I explained a little that I offer the same amount of care to each child so I do not discount for siblings. The mom seemed a bit embarrassed after that, so I guess maybe I should just stick to my usual "no" answer

I really don't want to take siblings anymore anyway so I guess it works out

I like this too, pretty much what I want to say, in clearer terms
