I went to reusable bags at the grocery store so was running out of plastic bags. I ended up buying the sassy brand ones on amazon, $8 for a box of 200 bags. For a while the price on them went crazy high but now it seems to be back down to normal.

I use all reusable bags now. I don't do too many diaper changes anymore () but I buy the blue diaper bags from the dollar store, there are a bunch in a package, they're small, and hold smell well. I place those in my lidded bathroom trash and empty it after meals.

Ask if you can put a box for collecting bags at your church, or if you have a senior center, Elk's Lodge, etc? People bring them to the library in our town so that the library doesn't have to purchase bags for people to use if needed. It is always filled and I've taken some in before too.- Flag

I ask for them. All the time! I use the reusable bags now when I go shopping and I just never had enough. I only have 1 DCB potty trained so that's alot of diapers to deal with! I used to do exactly what the OP does but now I try to change everyone at once, put them in the same bag and then into the diaper can that's lined with odor shield trash bags. If I have a random dirty diaper (not during "group change") then I just do the drop, twist, fold over and tie.
One of my DCMs always brings me bags but ive still asked in notes on the bulletin board. Along with tissues, Lysol wipes ect.
The ones at the dollar store ARE great tho! I also grab them when I walk the dogs! Perfect size for poo pickup! Lol- Flag

I would totally ask parents for plastic bags if I used them. But I use regular diaper bags that I buy on Amazon. I used my grocery bags for cat litter, heh. Now that everything's going reusable at the grocery store, they make the grocery bags so thin, that they always get holes in them before I can use them, on the rare occasion I forget my reusable bags.
One day a parent said "I don't know how you can stand the poopy diaper smell in here... Why don't you keep the trash can outside?" and I realized I couldn't smell it because I was in the house all day and used to it, but apparently everyone entering my house could smell it and I was embarrassed. Now I keep a lidded step-trash can on my patio and throw the diapers in there. I could never go back to having a diaper pail in the house. When I worked in a daycare center, we had the same problem, everyone entering the room could smell the diaper stench but we were immune to it.- Flag
