How do you block here so you do not see certain posters?

Click on User CP. On the left a menu will come down and one will say "edit ignore list" click on that and add the name.

...sometimes there are times in which it's just easier to block than to continually practice restraint.

I have only blocked two users in my 16 years of being on the internet daycare boards. It takes a lot for me to HAVE to do it but it's sometimes necessary.

How funny this thread was started today! I've never blocked anyone but lately I'm considering it

Why would you need to block someone's posts ? Couldn't you just not read them ?

Some people prefer to block so they don't have to see the replies on other posts.

Some people prefer to see all of the replies and posts.

                          To each their own.

It’s not a need. It’s a preference. When I want to be entertained by fiction, I will watch a movie or read a novel.

I don’t come here to quench anyone’s thirst for attention or knowingly interact with an inauthentic character. I visit to learn and interact with peers who have something to share of substance & value to me.

So the ignore option is an excellent choice for me. I chose to do what works best of me.
