    Guess What I Just Heard?!?!

:: I have the radio on a local station while we are doing art/craft time. I usually play a kid CD, but was listening for someone I knew to come on....anyways a commercial comes on for Trojan condoms. My 3 yr old dcb says, "What are condoms?" (I am gritting my teeth trying to think of what to say) and 5 yr old dcg goes without missing beat..."Ketchup and mustard...duh!" I just picked myself up off the floor from laughing so I could post this! She must have thought he said condiments! ::::

I use to produce a syndicated "Gospel" radio show and we let a Trojan ad run by mistake. We got hell from that one.

You could always make up for it by saying "Frozen Condiments" instead of Trojan Condoms............ha ha. Then talk about how you don't put ketchup and mustard in the freezer because they belong in the fridge.

That would be so funny! We have the radio on once in a while and most of the older kids sing along. It really amazes me how they actually know the words and unless I have a lyrics sheet infront of me half the time I can't figure out what the songs words are in the first place. Does this mean we should have it in our handbook that we play local radio stations once in awhile?

Might want to be careful with that, although, if they already know the words, they are obviously allowed to listen to the music anyway. I always listen to the radio in the car, and one day a song came on that I really liked the beat and the melody. I'd heard it several times before, but had never really listened to it. This one day I listened to the words and I couldn't believe what they were saying!!! If you are familiar at all with it, it was Eminem/Rhianna Love the Way you Lie. Where he tells her, after trying to win her back with kindness, that if she ever tries to f'ing leave again he's gonna tie her to the bed post and set the mf'ing house on fire Of course, it was on the radio, so it was censored, but you always know what the words are supposed to be anyway. I turn on music for the babies during nap, and thought I was on a safe channel until one day I went in to get one of them up and heard THAT song playing! Oops!
