    What was I thinking... vent

I took on 2 new infants (4-1/2 months and 8 months). Both girls. The 8 month old is pretty well adjusted and doing well... but the 4 month DCG is a first child and was rocked and held her entire life and they're leaving her here the full 10 hours a day (Dad has been coming 5 mins before opening, so need to send a reminder about start time). I just am not sure what to do with her sleeping. I can't wear her, she falls asleep but won't transfer to pack n play. Any suggestions? She has no schedule or routine started. I'm just trying to **** it up and stay calm. It'll get better.

I also have a 4 yr. old DCB, 2- 5 yr. (DCB & DCG) 1/2 days, a 14 month DCB and a 3 yr DCB. I'm about to lose my mind. All kids are well taken care of, but I'm getting a cold and my house is a wreck every night. wahhh I'm such a baby.

3 days only... i know it'll be an adjustment. The 8 month started the same day, so it's been a little crazier than normal I have a stupid cold and my 10 yr. old lab has bad timing with being sick (woke me up every hour to go out with the poops the other night), so I'm on no sleep, no schedule for 2 babies with my other DCK's who are now adjusting to less one on one time (which is an adjustment for me too!) BUT...the money is good and they're good babies, we just need to get in the swing of things.

The almost 5 month old isn't allowed to fuss at home, so it's been hard to juggle her with the other kids. I'm not sure how to get her to sleep for more than a 15/20 minute block of time. I have a noise machine and check on her every 5 minutes. I rock her, but she doesn't transfer well at all so that doesn't work unless I hold her. I'm potty training my 2.5 yr. old and with feedings and making sure the 8 month old doesn't get into trouble, it's so challenging. My other DCK's are good nappers. Other than just putting her down drowsy, checkin on her every 5 minutes...she maybe gets a 25 min nap (usually less) before she wakes up screaming. And, she usually wakes up the other kiddos. It's going to be a long month =(

How do you handle the 4.5 month olds? Hold while sleeping, or pack-n-play train? Do you share with parents which sleep method you use, or just do what works for you? She's so tired... poor baby!

I don't think any states allow you to hold while sleeping, unfortunately. You may have to develop a plan with the parents to get everyone on the same page or that poor baby may either never settle in or will be a hot mess every single Monday/Tuesday until they resettle into your routine and then it starts all over the next week.
