Another DR Said It Came From Daycare

My newest lo (the diaper rash baby) has HFM.

The DR told her parents that she got it from daycare. One of the other kids must have touched her and given it to her.

I have not had a case of HFM in about 10 years or 11 years.

BUT, she must have gotten it from here.

Yeah, I had one get it ( pt dcg) and no one else got it. Dcm tried to blame us, but...no one else had it! Her list of possible places she could have picked it up after she couldn't blame here were hilarious. I am so tired of parents blaming the dc....especially if the kid is pt !!! End rant ::

Doctors learn quickly that this answer pleases their customer. It makes their customer happy because if their child got sick from daycare then returning that child to daycare sick is ok because the other kids have been exposed. Also, the daycare is responsible so they should pay. Pay means taking the kid sick or not charging for an absence day for something that was their fault.

It's a money maker for the docs. It takes two seconds to say those words and out the door their customer goes. Get in. Get out. Get paid.

It's just business and it's an easy way to male money and assure your customers will come back for the next minor illness where the assessment is quick and the patient conferencing is even quicker. Docs LOVE these visits as long as the customer LEAVES quickly so the next money can have the exam table.

The nice part - the dr said she cannot come back to daycare until next Monday at the earliest.

They already paid for the next two weeks.
