    Undiagnosed

Rash DCB had roseola two weeks ago yesterday he woke up coverd in another rash. DMC took him to a different Dr for a second opinion they had 15 specialist looking at him even infectious disease controlbdoesnt know what it is. They let her leave and told her to fallow up with regular Dr today.

Would you let this kid come back if they don't figure out what he has?

Also they ruled out hfm, roseola, spotted rocky mountain fever, scabies

    How old?

What did the specialists and other Dr's say?

To stay home or go about business as normal?

If they are concerned, I am sure someone would have said something about whether he is contagious or not. I can't imagine them sending him out into the public if they are worried it might be something serious but if they don't know, they don't know I suppose but personally, I wouldn't take a chance.

I have too many others here with immature or compromised immune systems to chance it.

I'd exclude until regular doctor sees the child and go from there after that dr adds his/her opinion.

No. If 15 doctors and infectious disease control don't know what he has then I don't want anyone else to get it. I exclude for un diagnosed rashes.

This child is 22 months old the rasni even on hiss palms he has a fever of 100.1. They never did blood work because he didn't have a fever at the time. They gave him benedryl and made him wait an hour to see if it helped the rash but there was no change. They sent him home he is supposed to fallow up with his regular doctor this afternoon.

Nope, a rash of unknown origin is a reason for exclusion.

Nope; my state law says kids have to be symptom-free for at least 24 hours before they can come back to daycare or school. This goes for potentially contagious rashes, fevers, diarrhea, vomiting, or other communicable diseases (strep throat, head lice, etc.). You don't want the other kids or yourself to catch this mystery disease as well.

looks like the primary doc doesn't know either they are no sending him to a dermatologist tomorrow. She said no fever today but the rash is still there and it looks tiny and puss filled.
