    LOVING My Job Again!

    happyface happyface happyface happyface

I have a GREAT group of children here now (and tolerable to great parents as well :: ) with typical children behavior. I would say just plain, old normal kids (some have delays, some are gifted, but they are all just NORMAL in their behaviors).

I termed a child who was brilliant yet defiant, whiney, screechy, and generally unpleasant to be around who had rule breaking always requesting exceptions parents. The parent never attempted to correct the child's defiance and simply would tell me thank you for letting her know. She was surprised when I gave her their notice.

My day is woooooonderful and I am so happy to be at work! happyface lovethis Now if I can just ensure that the next child and parent set that we get is great then I will be good to go. I have already turned away 2 families that I could tell would NOT be a good fit. Sometimes, there just isn't enough $$$ in the world to make your days unenjoyable and difficult...

Isn't it great when the good days far out number the bad and your dcks are pretty normal. Guess I can say that about mine too and I'm not going through those feelings of 'I want to quit NOW'.

              Woo hoo - how wonderful!

I'm almost in the same spot, except the "problem" kiddos are my own grandchildren! ::

If I could fill my FT 2+ yr old spot I'd be over the moon happy.

I had that group for the last few years but now they've all went off to pre-k. Now I have 4 under 24 months and 3 of those are part time. The patents are all great, the full timer is my angel but the part timers are still getting used to me, their schedules and my space (which can be overwhelming for some children) plus they are all only children. They are learning how to play instead of being entertained by an adult and gradually showing more smiles than looks of dismay but I yearn for my old group.

I feel for you. My 4 that are 2 are my most trying children ... obviously, because they are so young. I DO love having one "young group" (2's) and then one "big kid" group here (3/4-year-olds) but when all the 2's go crazy it sure is crazy. ::

Awesome!! I'm really loving my group right now too. We're adding a newbie in Oct and I'm worried how it may change things.
