I Think She Is Waiting Until Wednesday On Purpose

After 23 years I am getting really tired of the state, and the FP, and all the mindless paperwork, and someone else trying to run my show!

I got all of my stuff in for renewal but apparently my assistant needed to amend something on one of her trainings. She did this on Friday so I emailed the instructor on Friday to nicely ask her to please grade it since this one thing is holding up my license.

She emailed me back on Sunday and told me she has 3 business days to get this done, so she has until Wednesday. I just checked and it is still not graded. I KNOW she is holding off until Wednesday, I just know it!

Expectations from state departments regarding licensing is becoming more than anyone can bear here! I think it is ALL ABOUT PUTTING FCC OUT OF BISNIESS!!!! I actually thought bout quitting the past few days!...Seems the state "LOST" all my paperwork all the way back to my hs diploma when I began in 1992....had to run copies of everything (training, degrees, references, etc.)...if I had not done this they would have SHUT ME DOWN for something "they" lost!!!! I just wanna take care of children, no more and no less!!!! My state was the first to jump into QRIS/advance expectations for providers and you see where we are NOW....dropping FCC providers like flies....BUT the state needs to realize, it only pushes children into unregulated care, it doesn't promote quality child care!!!!

How frustrating! I hope she gets it done sooner for you.

If that is true then it is working! I thought about just throwing in the towel and going unlicensed. I am not going to because I have jumped all of the hoops now, but it is getting overwhelming. I'm like you - I just want to watch kids too. I don't want to be on the Starts program or get accredited or apply for grants.

This is our local Child Care Resources and Referral office though. They NEED providers or they have no job themselves. I am not sure why they are power-tripping!

I does feel like some of them enjoy being ______.

I love it when they have never worked in childcare, never owned a business, wear high heels on my foam playmats and out to inspect the playground (ok, so that is funny to watch :. They spout several "$uggestion$" that are nowhere to be found in the core regs and then put them on the online inspection report as if they are.

They can make a perfect compliance look like a deficiency that way just because you don't agree with their idea$ for your home and business.
          - Unless otherwise stated, all my posts are personal opinion and worth what you paid for them.

I WI, they list the non-compliances on the website, but they can be here 3 hours, find nothing, and the "positive" statement is "After a PARTIAL inspection, no non-compliances were found".

Sure...that's because there are 760+ regs, and for some reason, they can't check them all.

If I could have 4 kids legally unlicensed I would do it in a SECOND.

I really loathe the new regulations, the very invasive inspections (last time a registrar opened a walk in closet in my master bedroom-located on a different floor than the daycare space and inaccessible to the kids)

What they didn't check was my outdoor space AT ALL, in fact not one person has stepped off my back porch at ANY inspection at ANY time.

They lose my paperwork ALL THE TIME. I have a new dck and Mom has filled out TWO food program enrollment forms. I was denied the entire claim for an entire MONTH she was here. The second time I photocopied the form (now I always will) and of course, they claim they never received the form when I called to check on it.
