My state requires all re-licensing paperwork to be submitted one month before the actual renewal date. I noticed I don't have all the trainings, which I thought I was up to date on everything, but am not. Has anyone ever submitted their paperwork late? I feel like such a slacker, but thought everything was in order until I really sat down to review...

Maybe you could submit your paperwork, call licensing ahead of time and tell them but make sure you are signed up for specific classes so they know of your intention.
I did that last year with my CPR class. They were pretty lenient because of an ice storm cancelling the one I had signed up for. I just submitted my proof as soon as I was able to.- Flag

Maybe go to care courses and see what they have . They do on line courses and book courses . All tests are taken on line and you can complete them pretty quick .- Flag

You can go here and take some free courses and print the certificates out when you've completed the course. https://extensiononline.tamu.edu/courses/child_care.php
Many of them are completely free. You just have to scroll through them. Some will say the course is free but the certificate is $7 or $14 BUT some of them have no course or certificate fee. I did a couple of these and they were accepted by licensing. You can cram a few in one evening if you have to.

My state requires paperwork to be in by a set date.
My licensor would never give an extension to us for trainings as we are given 2 years to have the required trainings before relicensing and is very upfront about the fact that there is NO overlapping of dates. Once your renewal date comes and you don't have everything in, then you are just out of luck.
What state are you in?
I could see maybe getting an extension during the initial licensure or even the first renewal but if this is your 3rd or more renewal period....I would think they wouldn't be as lenient.
I guess the only way to know for sure is to contact your licensor or your state agency.- Flag

My state would like our paperwork in 3 months before renewal!!! Then it takes the state an additional 4 months sometimes before we get our license!
In your situation I would send in the paperwork with a note telling what trainings you are signed up for to meet your hours. I would get on the stick too and do online training if possible.- Flag
