    Naptime gone wrong!

Really just venting here.....new (started last week) two year old girl woke up crying loudly, about 45 minutes into naptime. I quickly moved her and her mat into my hallway, but by then, three others were awake, and none have gone back to sleep. Ugh! I'm used to peaceful naps here. At 5:30, I'm collapsing on the couch!

Thanks! I guess I'm spoiled. Having several new kids has thrown the routine off a bit, but I know we'll get there.

we had a crappy nap today too. I really needed the downtime too, since my daughter was up at 12:30 puking, poor thing. But nope....they woke up over an hour early. Again. Getting so tired of it...
Hee hee! Look, I have a signature!

I had one wake up screaming too! Luckily, she fell back to sleep and didn't wake anyone else up.

I'm spoiled. I have had mostly very peaceful naps. (parents always ask how I get them to sleep) but once in while things go haywire. Its my only break time all day so it's important that they rest.

That's my every day. 16 mo old wakes after 25-30 min sleeping and cries, usually waking the 14 mo old. Last Fri she was out and he slept 2 hours!

Could you separate them for nap? Different bedrooms maybe?

I will be laying this particular girl in the hallway for the time-being. When she adjusts to being here, I'll move her back. Its her first time to be in dayare, and she's having a bit of a rough time.

Oh, boy, do I sympathize! Took me extra long to get the kids to sleep today, and I have one who resists sleep he desperately needs every day. I moved him out of the room oh, so quietly as I always do. Two minutes later, he's in the bathroom. Tiptoeing, but still, somehow, he managed to wake another girl. She goes pee. Tiptoes back quietly, but a minute later, my daughter's awake (total nap=1/2 hour). She starts talking (ARGH!) and a minute later, everyone's awake. What's up?!? I was so psyched to finally be back to nap time with no SAers here. (I jinxed myself saying so yesterday.)

I sympathize too!! While I was minus two today... I started a new dcb age 3.5months... new to daycare... with reflux.... and recently had a shot for an ear infection.. OH BOY! ... he's alternating days and afternoons... two weeks each shift... works into my program awesome!

My second kid today was day shift.. age 4.. part of my preschool program.. so I got the new dcb right before it was time for her to leave... so here I am.. still working... new dcb needs a rotation and balance LOL (read: time to adjust to daycare)

Nap time is the best and worst time of my day.
If I don't get at least half an hour of total silence I become a bear for the rest of the day. But some days it seems like as soon as the last nappers fall asleep the first one is awake again.
Four out of 6 dcks sleep and the other 2 kids get nap time boxes after being quiet for 30 minutes. One of the non nappers is so good! The other 1 is a little terror, constantly getting up, disrupting everybody, and yesterday was her 1st day at prek so she was super tired. Course she stays awake and has break downs the rest of the day. Egad.
