Ahhhhhhhhhhh............golden sounds of silence, music to my ears

It's just one little girl I care for who I love dearly but she is the 2nd most challenging strong-willed child I've ever taken care of in my life. First one was my own dd who is now 23 yo. We're lucky we both survived that one.

But this one has a meltdown every time she doesn't get her way, does NOT understand the concept of being quiet during quiet time, does NOT understand what 'stay on your cot' means. I have 5 dcks that rest in the playroom, 3 of them really do need naps. She and a 4 yo don't nap anymore, just once in a blue moon. So my rule for them is books for half an hour and if they stay (relatively) quiet, they earn a quiet time box.

Tomorrow I'm going to try separating them further and see if that works. It's worked much better in the past when dcg is blocked off from everyone. We'll see.

Otherwise with the 3 nappers, it never fails that by the time the last one falls asleep, the first one is waking up. That can make for one ugly bear of a dcprovider.
