I did at first, but good lord, it was a pain. Lol. If there's a high maintenance parent whom you feel may be an issue later, then I would do it as documentation.

In my house no news is good news

I send an email when needed. No copies required.

Well I have my first infant right now, since he is new I am doing the reports. I don't know how long I will do them for each new one. Mom needs to bring me a missing paper tomorrow though, or he won't be staying. I swear you give them an inch.....

Maybe I misunderstood.... I use daily connect in lieu of paper reports. I thought you were asking if we photo copied the completed reports for our own records? Before giving them to parents at the end of the day?

Yeah I was asking if you all photocopy for your records. But I also may see how much each parent likes them to see if I continue them or not.

I scan (not photocopy) SIGNED/DATED ouch reports, and SIGNED/DATED incident/red ticket forms eg. your child hit someone today.

I have a folder on my desktop for each kid with 'history' in case I term and need the 'proof'.

I send home daily sheets, but it's basic "we ate" "she pottied' stuff.

Everything else is via email for the paper trail.

I will have to look into the apps. I didn't have a home computer in 2002 when I stopped daycare last time, and I am just starting again didn't know they were there. This mom does not have internet though, I think they are really struggling financially. I made some special arrangements for her to get started because she was driving 20 miles out of her way one way to have care for him the evening hours she needed. I just pray she doesn't burn me. If she does it may cause me to not help the next person.
