Just passed on a week long drop in space...

because the woman said she needed care because

"my current provider is unwilling to change her vacation to next month and neither my husband or I have any more PTO until then."

    HA. NO.

I also forwarded the email to her current provider--- who I know from a friend of a friend...and who answered back that she has had that vacation listed since January. That this family just took two weeks (UNPAID) off in June and July!

There is a special group of people out there in the world...and I feel like we deal with them often.

And no doubt the reason they are not in a center (where this wouldn't be an issue) is because the center costs too much and would make them pay even when they are out
You can't have it all people...

Of course it's ok when they want a week or two off.

Yes and when she gives a bad review of the daycare she will leave that part out.
