Completely emptied my playroom this weekend!!!

And now its Sunday night and I have to put it back together by morning, LOL!!!

I posted recently that it had gotten crazy overcrowded and my group has gotten younger and are a bunch of "bin dumpers". So I took everything out and I'm trying to cut down on the number of toys. But I still feel like I need the same 6 sections - 1 toy kitchen, 2 art/table, 3 activity bus, 4 train table, 5 baby area, 6 reading area.

Any thoughts on how to make that work in this room??? Here's most of the basics back in…. (table and baby areas not in this shot)

    Here was the crowded before….

this pic was taken standing in the area of the changing table and baby play area.

This is dark, but this is the side with the little baby area - but with all kids 3 and under really everyone still plays over there.

I'm not good at maximizing space but I wanted to jump in & say that I live your floors!
Also - what is the black thing in between the train table & reading area?

its a set of those cubbies - its facing the train table with trains, blocks, cars, etc. in it. I don't like it there though - it closes in the area too much - they use the floor more than the table for cars/trains.

Could you stack in on top of the other one & secure it against the wall? Or rotate it flush against the wall so that you have more open space for them to play.

And the baby area is just the changing table right? Could you combinable reading area there?

I like an open floor plan with things against the wall so that your nice floors stand out & it makes your space look bigger

I'm the opposite of SAHM, I like things to be sectioned off so that kids don't run around and toys stay in the right spots
I'd probably put the kitchen back-to-back with the shelves for cars and then the activity bus down one long wall, to make three sections, and then have the other three on the opposite wall.
I think that seems similar to what you had before.
I personally just have to move things around until I find the sweet spot
