I'm juggling a lot these days so I hired an assistant to help out with DC. I'm one step closer to my haunted jail. (I know this isn't DC related, but I'm excited.) I have put a lot of work into making this an insane experience. I now have a Facebook page & will be going live with the website next week. let me know what you think, please! You should consider renting it out the weeks/months before or after Halloween.
My birthday is on Halloween and if I could have had a birthday party somewhere as cool as that, I might actually have liked my birthday.

Neat! I actually don't live too far from there, and pass the town to get to my inlaws' home. I'll have to be brave and check it out!

I just checked out the facebook page quickly- looks pretty cool (and scary). My only advice is to play up the past as much as possible- maybe some more newspaper articles if you can find it. Perhaps some photos with reinactments of the deaths that occurred there? Am I being too morbid ::

I have the archived articles. The local university takes pride in saving history. Yay for me. We are putting them on the webpage because we cannot increase the size (to read better) on FB, arg! I plan on processing the people in as if they are going to jail. Finger printing, mugshot, etc.I just checked out the facebook page quickly- looks pretty cool (and scary). I'd have liability insurance and have a lawyer's advice. I'm thinking even if you say you're not responsible for various things, you still might be legally.
That's a great idea to rent it out during the year. You could also make it a museum of sorts with it's great history.
