Probably a scam but I wouldn't do it anyway. 8 and 9 year old until the end of summer? It's pretty much the end of summer now.

Yep, this. Just checking back in to see if anyone did have experience with this.

What happens when you call back? Can you google his information? My original though was that it was a new provider fishing for info. If you are licensed, a lot of times your address would be listed anyway. Unless you gave him some personal
          Information, I wouldn't worry.

Just thinking about Childcare And eBay reminded me of a post on here about that kijiji part of eBay where you can advertise your daycare services. Maybe it is somehow linked to that? Could this man have an ad on there? I would look up your city on kijiji (I googled it a little while ago, and I think that's the correct spelling). I would check that out because that might lead you somewhere.

I would ring your police non-assistance number and log the details with them. They may already have a number of similar calls and yours is the last they need to escalate to a different dept, you may be advised to contact which ever govt dept deals with scams and you'll have some peace of mind in case its not a scam but something more sinister.

ok and yes I did google the number , it just says it's a cell phone number and when I called him it went straight to voicemail
I will certainly follow up on this with the police and see if there's something fishy going on

I get those now that my number is out there, but not on CL. If its not my area code I don't pick it up and let it go to voicemail. Usually no voicemail so I look up the number & 9 times out of 10 its a scam call (others reported it). Its annoying.

CL I usually get the email spam. They're easy to spot at this point.
