    Infant Care

So today I took my first infant, which is something I swore I would never do. I adore babies but my program is geared toward one and up. Any hoo... Here I am.

So ... He is 14 weeks old. How long until things become more on a schedule? I never had my own on a schedule .

I'm wondering how long until the naps and feedings become less frequent. I was a zombie for the first few months of my ds's life. I can't remember this stuff!

    IME, every.single.infant has been different.

Some have a fantastic schedule very early on and others didn't find their groove until close to a year.

Some are easy going and very manageable in a group setting and others will rule the entire day.

Sorry that wasn't very helpful but I stopped taking infants too and then took them again, realized why I stopped and stopped again.

Now I ONLY take infants of currently enrolled families and preferably not until they are 6 months old.

What's the parent like? Often times, that is the most important factor...first time parents? Laid back and easy going or anal about everything?

Parents are very easy going, but also first time parents so they want everything to go well. Baby seems very good natured. Easy to put down. But he's not on a schedule, so he can snack all day.

I understand about all babies being different. I think I probably won't take another one this tiny just because it is almost impossible to teach preschool, too. But the cuddle time is awesome!
