    Preconceived Opinions

I took my kids to a pizza parlor for lunch today. Of course, my kids are perfect angels.

In walks a man and woman with 12 kids, from toddlers to maybe 12. I automatically think - this is going to be fun. I'm already picturing the screaming and running around.

They walk in and the older kids help slide the tables together and seat the younger kids. The lady takes 4 kids and heads to the buffet. The kids excitedly pick out their pizza and go sit down. The man takes another group of 4 and they go pick out their pizza. The older kids go fill all the soda cups and pass them out. The man goes and fills up a couple of plates of pizza for the youngest kids while the lady puts bibs on them and passes out sippy cups.

12 kids sat their like little angels, eating their pizza. They were all animated, talking to each other, but kept their voices down.

I was so impressed at this group. I had to go over and tell the lady and man how well behaved their group was behaving. The man told me that they were a well-behaved group and that they were a family daycare. He said that his wife believed in manners and discipline.

Hats off to Montes Family Daycare. They drove over 30 miles to come to this pizza parlor.

That's awesome Sharlan! See there are others out there with kids just like yours!!

Kudos to you both! (I'm sure you made their day by giving them such great feedback on their kids' behaviors)

          thats awesome.......

so cool to hear stuff like this.

I don't know how people go out to eat with kids... I can't honestly recall the last time I went out to a restaurant. I think my older kids ruined me for life....when they were little they hated restaurants and would never sit down so it was more work for me than staying home.

Lucky for me I had other friends and family to take them so they learned how to behave in them......'

I have had strangers come up to me and compliment my on my kids behavior when they were little . I was very appreciative of them taking the time to do it , it made me feel like I was doing the right thing with my kids .

Now adays all we hear about is negative things and the good things seem to get pushed aside .
