    Well now I'm considering a sand table, but I really dislike sand so we have none. We also have cats that roam the neighborhood and I would seriously dislike a litter box in the backyard. A table might work ok though.

      If you sprinkle some cornstarch into a cloth, you can dust sand off the kids' skin easily. It works so well!

        ^ I was just going to suggest this. or fill a cloth bag with baby power or starch- I use it at the beach and it's amazing!

          We are not supposed to use baby powder or cornstarch. It's supposed to create a breathing hazard. Which I personally think is ridiculous, unless an individual has a problem with it, in which case it should not be used.
