So I am trying to think of ways to get my name out there. When I had daycare in Kansas it was so much easier to do because I was in a much bigger city. My schedule is pretty flexible right now because DH is a truck driver. I was wondering if I should advertise a couple of Fridays of overnight care before school starts for a parents night out sort of thing. Never done such a thing before, but in such a small town I am trying to get creative. Thoughts?
Would you call me crazy?

I do a Parents night out with pizza games and a movie. I allow my currently enrolled kids to attend and bring a friend to try us out. I have gotten 3 kids that way, but that was over a 6 year period. I love doing it, it's a totally different light that I am in. We dont have 1000 transistions and rules to follow like raise your hand before talking and etc. My parents all bring a snack to share with the rest of the kids. We build forts and watch movies....all the things that we can't do during regular preschool time.....- Flag

Hey, everyone has to find their niche and when you're running a business, it helps to find a gap and offer a service to fill that gap to stand out. Of course, you could try it a couple of times and see how it goes...you're in charge so you can always decide not to do it again. If it is financially feasible and you have the time/patience/help then go for it. I've thought of it once or twice here since there are plenty of SA kids on my street that would love to have a fun night (and so would their parents). Plus there are a lot of late night shifts and college students...- Flag
