Am I The Only One That Finds This Funny And Adorable?

I laugh and laugh and laugh when a baby first starts to stand up and gets mad when they get "stuck" because they don't know how to get down.

I had one years ago that this became a HUGE issue for them. The child had an older sibling (age 12) that pretty much did everything for the younger one.

When the younger one started standing and then getting "stuck" because they couldn't figure out how to get down, sibling would come running over and help the child down.

Worked great until school started back up and older sibling wasn't here anymore to "help".

So being a big believer in helping kids figure things out on their own, I waited for the child to figure it out.... One particular day, the toddler stood up holding onto a toybox/bench. When help did not arrive in time to help get down, the child simply laid their head down on the bench and went to sleep standing up. ::

He did eventually figure it out but it took a REALLY long time because he had been trained to wait for help to arrive. ::

Mom loved to tell people that when I first started walking, I would walk until I got to a wall, then stand there and cry because I didn't know how to turn.
