4th of July 2015

The Fourth is on a Saturday. I always take two days off for that holiday (the day before and the actual day of) paid. If any of you do that as well what are your plans for next year since it is on a Sat.?

I only take 1 day off for the holiday, will take it on Friday July 3rd for 2015.

I only take one day off so I will probably do the Friday 7/3 since I think that's the recognized day for the federal holiday

if you generally take two days, so this year you took Th & Fr off, I'd do the same next year, Th & Fri

My policies state that if a holiday falls on a Saturday I'll take the Friday, if it's on a Sunday I'll take the Monday. But if USPS/banks take Friday I'll probably do the same.

I will be open the Friday. Friday isn't actually a holiday, so I'm good.

It's my only 4 day weekend until Thanksgiving weekend and is essential to my mental health. I will still call it "Fourth of July Break."

Yup. I take a 3 day weekend every couple of months, 4th is one of my ONLY day off stretches. It's necessary for my mental health. It's also my anniversary weekend.

Usually if a holiday is on the weekend I am open on the Friday or Monday but end up "closing" because I have no kids on that day.

The only exception I can think of is I close for my Birthday and my Anniversary. If we go somewhere for the Anniversary I probably close the Friday before.
