bad rash what the heck coudl it be??

Kid has been picked up!!

some looked like bug bites but had a fluid filled "head" almost like a pimple.

Some were on her genitals.

Alllll over legs and folds of skin. Also random splothes that looked unrelated but could be developing "blisters"

any ideas??

Sounds like chicken pox to me. Especially if it started in the diaper area, under arms, and folds of skin.

Hfmd also makes little tiny blister like spots.

That was what I was afraid of... how long do I exclude? do i exclude sibs?

Rashes are tough for us to know for sure what they are. I exclude for undiagnosed (by a medical professional) rashes. I just exclude until either the rash/symptoms are gone OR a diagnosis and treatment plan from the doctor... it also must state whether the rash is contagious or not.

Sounds like HFM... Exude til blisters are scabbed over and fever is gone. Siblings will most likely get it but it's up to you it you exclude the entire family during an illness or not.

Until all have dried and scabbed if it is HFMD.

My 13 mo had HFM last week. Doctor's advice was he could attend as long as he was fever free. He'd already been here 4 days that week, so I agreed. A little crabby, but that's his personality anyway, so it didn't make a difference to me.
