Thanks for the prayers everyone. Much rejoicing in church this morning. No loss of homes and even more importantly....no serious injury of loss of life.
Mother Nature will take care of the mountain. This is the next mountain over (my house is on the left side of the picture) taken three months ago. She was seriously burned 17 years ago and has started to come back again. A lot more green. After a fire, they re-seed as soon as possible to encourage new growth.- Flag

Glad you are safe!
Why does the mountain look white? Is that where it burned?
Edit! Oh that's 3 months ago. It's snow? (Floridian duh) Lol- Flag

LOL! We had heavy rain in April and it was cold enough higher up to make a defined snow line. There had been nothing there the day before!- Flag

We have a ton of deer and elk running around.
We see a lot normally, but they are everywhere right now. The fire pushed them down off the mountain. No loss of human homes...but not so lucky for some of the animals...so sad.- Flag

SOOOOO glad you are all safe and out of danger!
How scary for sure!!
Wild fires are terrifying and I can only imagine how difficult it is for humans but my heart breaks too for the animals...they are probably all so confused and frightened.
Again, so glad to hear you are safe!!! lovethis- Flag
