This Week FOOD Is Really Wearing Me Down

Yes, I feel ya on this one. I have 1 dck that complains constantly and 1 who asks for apple juice or chocolate milk all day long. I changed my meal time strategies at the first of June and only serve juice on a special occasion. Otherwise its milk at meals and water in between. The child knows this, yet every single day he cries for apple juice and whines constantly because I won't let him walk around with a sippy cup. Also, he complained to mom that my son was drinking chocolate milk and he wasn't allowed to have it. Mom questioned me and I explained that he's not drinking chocolate milk per se, I do add instant breakfast to my child's milk at certain times of the day per our dr.'s request. She felt that was unfair to her child to see my child have something he couldn't have so she asked me to add chocolate syrup to her child's milk. When I explained I didn't see that as a healthy option and I didn't want the extra expense she brought her own box of nesquik for her child to use at daycare. It is so difficult when you try to care for children from families with such differing parenting philosophies. I try to think positive and now I have a list of things to add to my interviews for future cients. Food will be at the top of my list!- Flag
