I also like the intercom idea! That may be the first security measure I purchase because it costs less and it's a one time thing, no monthly subscription. Was your center/home already wired for it? I'm hoping it's a simple process. Also, do you have to buzz each parent in or physically unlock the door?

I keep the door lock & have outdoor motion sensors. I also purchase a motion sensor camera after Michael talked about having one for deliveries & such. It snaps a pic & all who walks up to the door. It even has night vision. Love it!!!- Flag

This sounds cool and I'd love this better than the Cake thing that takes photos of the check-in/out thing. Someone had mentioned that their clients were moving or blocking the camera so that their photo wasn't being taken and this motion sensor camera would essentially do the same thing (capture an image). Care to share the link of the one you got for the rest of us that would also be interested. I'd love to have this in addition to what I have now.- Flag

I know you said you can set the time for each person according to pick up and drop off times but is it down to the exact minute? I ask because I allow a 15 minute grace period after contracted pick up times. How would that work?
Example:
I have a mom that drops off at 7:45a.m. and picks up at 4:00p.m. If she came at 7:50a.m.and picked up at 4:03 would it let her in?- Flag

Contract/Agreement
For those of you who give each parent their own code, do you put anything in your contract about it? I'm having issues with parents thinking their code is "theirs" to give out to who-ever they have asked to pick up their childI want to add something to my contract/policy handbook about this, maybe a section where they can fill out their code (I let them pick it) and where they agree that they will not give it out to anyone. Anyone have anything like this? If so, how do you word it??

The code provided to you for entrance to daycare is for YOUR use only. Please do not give your code to representatives pick up or dropping off your child(ren). Please contact me when some one other than you or your spouse is picking up and I will provide instructions in regards to how to manage entrance into the child care.
Anyone giving their code to someone else for use, will have their code canceled and alternate entrance procedures will be discussed.
These rules and policies are in place for the safety of your child as well as the other children in care. Please do not assume these safety measures are negotiable or flexible.
Thank you for your consideration and respect regarding this issue.
Sincerely
Provider- Flag
