    Tired of Being Mosquito Food

I attract mosquitoes. If there's one within a mile, it will find me. Dh and I sleep in the same bed, I'll get 8 or 9 bites and he'll get none. I get welts the size of quarters within minutes of a mosquito or ant bite and they hurt/itch forever.

I'm really tired of getting up all night to spray "OFF" which makes me nauseous and putting on Benedryl.

Right now, I've got 6 welts and they're driving me crazy.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to keep the mosquitoes away and/or stop the painful itching?

How badly do you want to get rid of them? It will cost but this gadget works: http://www.consumersearch.com/mosquito-traps

or the cheaper do-it-yourself contraption that costs about $1 http://www.thesurvivalistblog.net/ho...mosquito-trap/

Since mosquitos are MN state bird, we have a few tips and tricks that should help. The peppermint oil and catnip work really well.

I like the mosquito zapper, but it's just not very portable. I think I'll get one for our backyard though.

We had a couple of bats floating around the past couple of years, but I haven't seen them at all this year. They really helped keep the mosquitos down.

I'm looking for a local Avon rep right now. Skin So Soft has always worked for me in the past.

We spray our yard and perimeter with:http://www.off.com/en-us/Products/Pa...yard-pre-treat
Every 6-8 weeks and problem solved. We live next to a 20 acre woods and back up to a farm park, this works. Used for about 5 years now and even go out at night without spraying repellant. About $10 and we get from Home Depot or Walmart.
          I see little people.

I find it interesting that blondes are attracted more then brunettes because they like dark colors

Good read- need to get some peppermint oil they love my ankles

I found an Avon store and stocked up on their Skin So Soft. My dh hates the smell, but too bad, I hate being eaten alive every night.

I hate to use insecticides like that because we have a lot of lizards on our back wall. If the trusty SOS doesn't work, I will spray. I had to spray a couple of weeks ago because I got bit by itsy bitsy fire ants. My foot and leg were so swollen I could hardly walk for two days. I imagine the kids would have ended up at urgent care if they'd been bit.

I picked up the AVON Skin So Soft on Monday. I spray a little on my arms and legs before bed and like magic, no more mosquito bites. My dh has been bit up on both nights.

The best part is I don't feel so sick the next day from the OFF spray I had been using.
