What do you do as far as sunscreen application?
I have been using spray sunscreen, brought in by the parents, for their child's "second coat" in the afternoon when we go out. The "first coat" of sunscreen is applied by the parents prior to arrival and we go outside shortly after they arrive. My state requires me to wash my hands prior to and after each sunscreen application. Spray sunscreen are QUICK and allow me to sunscreen 10 children in about 15-ish minutes. I do it outside with the wind going behind them so that there is less inhalation and their faces get face sticks applied that are also sent in by the parents.
I am truly grossed out by the thought of rubbing sunscreen lotion on 10 children that are not mine.
The only thought I have is to also use gloves for my hands but the expense of that would be quite high and I don't want to eat that cost.
BUT, I also don't want the unhealthy aspect of spray sunscreens.
WHAT DO YOU DO?!? What WOULD you do if you had a group of 10 children that weren't yours (this doesn't include my own kids...) that you needed to apply sunscreen to in the afternoon if you went out for water play?
