Ugh New Baby Has Thrown a Wrench in My Daily Schedule

I have a new 3 month old dcg that started monday. She has given me a run for my money. She wants to eat every 2 hrs and hasnt been sleeping much. 30 min here 20 min there I have had no time to do activities with the older kids. We didnt even get outside today. And to top it off I have my first license renewal full inspection coming up in a couple of days that I'm really stressed about.

I can also feel your pain. I just started a 4 1/2 month old that cries all the time and hardly sleeps when he does nap. I feel sad for him. I hope there are better days ahead for all of us!

Im glad im not alone. I know it will get better its just an adjustment for both of us. And once ive found my grove I will be fine. I just hope my licenser doesnt think I dont do activities with the other kids all day. Do they look at that? Im so nervous. Ive heard horror stories about licensers.

I'm so glad to read others' experiences with infants. It stops me from taking them! Maybe one day. But not this year

:: I'm starting week 3 with a 3 month old ... yesterday I was thinking he was settling in nicely, ate and slept well.

              Today, not so much

always like this starting with a new baby

I also have taken a 3 month old little girl. I have her brother who just turned two last week. He is a handful himself. Now the baby just cries unless you are standing up and holding her. I have no idea what i got myself into. Good to know i am not the only one. I also have licensing coming soon, i am a nervous wreck.

OMG just spent 45 minutes trying to get my new baby to sleep. Talk about fighting it. geez!!! Eyes rolling in head, but wouldn't sleep. Finally! And to think that the mother asked if I gave a multi-child discount. Does she have a clue what it's like to watch 4 other kids and her new baby? good grief!

Ugh! Don't ya just hate that!
Always.....Always....once you've gotten the routine down.

Just think positively! You'll work the juggling act, and get it down in no time.

I'm just starting to slowly come out of that slump now with my baby.

As for licensing, try not to sweat it. I'm sure they'd rather see us taking the time with a newbie to settle them in, then not.

                    Good luck
