    Terming Today

I've had a sibling set for a couple months now and their behavior isn't getting better. Kids are pretty high maintenance as well as their mom is. The 1 yr old dcb wants held all the time which doesn't happen but he screams constantly if your not within a foot of him. 4 yr old dcb was put on probation because of his behavior. Parents do not discipline at home at all. Recently mom has been lingering at drop off for wayyy too long and letting her boys act up and not stopping them and not happy when I stop them. I told mom we would be doing the buh bye outside and she was not happy. She refused to do so, so I explained it again and told her I would be doing it from now on so she had her husband call me last night with their 2 weeks notice because they didn't feel comfortable saying good bye to the boys outside of my home. Then late last night a mutual friend of ours whom I guess the mom didn't realize I am a friend of called to tell me she told the 4 yr old he could be as bad as he wants and theres nothing I could do since its their last 2 weeks. I have it in my contract that I have parents guve me 2 weeks notice but I can end our contract at any time for any reason. Guess who will be getting a big surprise when she tries to drop off this morning. Yep today will be their last day, and I'll be surprised if mom doesn't take the kids with her when she leaves. Good riddance, you can't fix every kid. I'll be happier as well as the other kids. They didn't like playing with the 4 yr old because of his behavior.

Girl, I wouldn't even accept them into my home today. I would turn her away at the door and tell her EXACTLY why.

      Ugh! So disrespectful!
      I agree with Wednesday.
Let her know, if she can't follow your rules, then termination will have to occur immediately.
Good luck, and keep us posted.

I was very surprised mom was better than she had ever been, took the terming well, begged me to let the kids stay today and told 4 yr old to be good, and hurried off. I told her I would keep them until grandma could pick them up. I am happy that it is their last day though.

But be prepared. She was probably shocked, but now she'll have all day to think about it. Did you tell her you knew she told ds to behave badly?

Oh yes I told her. I am very outspoken and I can't help but speak my mind. I believe she was very embarrassed. I really don't think she will cause me too many problems as the grandma thinks very highly of me and I know she won't put up with it also I am very close to many providers in my city and have already warned them about this family. She'll either end up getting a nanny or staying home with the kids herself.

Glad you called her out on this. I wouldn't have let them step foot inside again, but it was nice of you to watch them until grandma comes. It should be interesting to find out who becomes their next caregiver, though.

Don't forget to call your licensor and give her a heads up before DCM does.

Wow. I can't believe the audacity of people! It's just plain NOT RIGHT to tell your child they can act up, regardless of the reason. What ever happened to common courtesy?
