Had My First Ever Inspection.....

I have been licensed for 2 weeks short of a year at this point and someone from the state stopped by today.

I passed with flying colors. I think part of it has to do with this site and all the things I have learned just interacting with others who are more experienced.

My state does not require any inspections before starting and the number of random inspections they do is small. Most people here will never have one done. Inspections are almost exclusively complaint driven. Well, go figure, I got chosen for the random sampling

I passed the food program inspection without any complaints last week as well so I can breathe a sigh of relief.

Thanks everyone. I was really nervous for some reason. Probably because the only other person I know of in town who does home daycare is a friend of a friend and she has had a large number of violations. It made me assume that they would literally be searching my couch for crumbs or something

The inspector did walk around and look through my paperwork but she was nice and made sure to tell me about some common mistakes she was seeing at other homes so I could avoid them.
