    stomp walk running

Husband is trying to sleep in basement. One child stomp walks and runs all morning long upstairs and it drives him nuts and I try to teach her. I can't imagine it is her natural gate because I have heard her walk without stomping. She is definately a sensory seeker but early in the morning it is just too loud.

I just keep trying to show her how to walk without doing that but her attention span and retention for that is normal for a 2 year old as some are more egocentric than others.

For sensory seeking children I have them move heavier objects like a bin of toys to "help" or you can make a game of it and time her as she pulls the bin across the room. Have them rearrange things around the room. Table push ups and Wagon wheels walks also give them the stimulation they need. You will notice a difference in behavior once you do some of these.

Sounds like she is high energy in the mornings also. Can you guys go outside for a while first thing in the morning?
