I dont want this to turn into a sleeping debate though.

I'm looking for advice on how to keep him quiet for the last 20-30 minutes of nap so that he doesn't wake everyone else up. Like i said, if it tell him to stay quiet or no talking or anything of the sort, he will scream until nap is over. If i don't say anything then talks loud. He will just lay there yelling mom! mommy! Dada! etc.
he is almost 2.5 years old.

    Im trying the books today!

How did it go with books today?

Maybe try not telling him to "shhh" or "be quiet" and just say something like "hey buddy, how ya doing? let me get you some books" Maybe making it seem to be a "positive" rather than a "negative" will cause him to respond more positively, kwim?

      Good luck!

Same here - as soon they are awake I bring them into another room to do quiet activity, most of them know the routine now & make little fuss, I check sleepers every 15mins so it's easier for me to predict when they are coming to & there's not a long wait for them before they know I'll get them.

Pretty soon they will all have to nap in the daycare room (minus anyone in a crib, I'll have one room available for them), so we will have no where to go if they wake up early.

I find it funny how when I worked in a center with all kids napping in the same room, no one disturbed anyone. Now that I have my home daycare, it's so hard to get them to nap in a room together without waking someone up.

Im trying to keep them quiet for 30 min Max... On average is about 20-15 minutes.

No way would I expect 2 hours of quiet.
