    Totally OT Dance Costumes

Does anyone have any idea what I could do with old recital costumes? I've used a couple for dress up clothes, but most of them are high dollar sparkly, fru fru, sequined, fluffy costumes that were worn only twice each. I have about 25 or 30 from the past 7 dance seasons. I've tried craigslist and eBay too. And I'm not asking an arm and a leg. Maybe $20 to $30 each for costumes that I paid $80 or more for. I just don't know what to do with them and they're starting to take over the closets. Any ideas?

when you list on ebay, have you tagged them for pageant wear?

I was thinking along the lines of craftsy projects. I know when my niece did dance for several years, my sister covered photo frames with some of the fabric, gave photos as gifts. Or quilts, I could picture beautiful crazy quilts? Pillows?
As far as selling them, I have no clue. I know we get a lot of 'no longer needed' dance outfits from one of my dcgs and the kids love them as dress-up.
Are some suitable to advertise as princess or fairy costumes for Halloween? It's unreal what some dcps pay for costumes, 20-30 would be nothing.

Etsy or groups on FB sometimes have buy/sell/trade where you can post and first in line gets it, if they don't show, next in line and so on. Usually, people sell pretty quickly in those groups.

              I haven't tried etsy. I didn't think of that.

Dance.net, you can sometimes sell them there. Many studios who have children who do competitive dance don't spend tons of money on fancy costumes.
