    Ugh, STILL Moving! VENT

So I had my inspection over a week ago and was told that I would find out this week. Well I still have not heard anything and am feeling so anxious.

Well of course I am just watching money go down the drain while I work from my old house and my new house sits all day long, set up EMPTY.

my landlord just called me to ask me if I will be out of my old house by Sunday. Which since I don't know anything from LIC, I don't know how to answer that.

My landlord said if I can't move by then, then I need to pay another month of rent and may be responsible for the new tenants stuff that is supposed to be moved in on the 30th.

    Can anything else go wrong???

Ugh, sorry to hear it's taking so long.

On a side note, the new tenants stuff legally cannot be moved in until 12:01 a.m. on July 1.

You paid rent for June and technically have rights to the property until one minute after midnight on June 30.

well if the LIC does not get approved, them I will have to shut down until it does. None of my families are expecting that to happen nor am I.

I wouldn't allow the new tenant's belongings on the property while you're still paying rent... which, like BC said is 12:01 July 1st. If they make you pay another month then the new tenant needs to figure it out. If YOURE paying to live there then no one else gets to park their stuff there.

sorry, I was not clear. So the new tenants are supposed to move in on the 30th. If I can't move, I will be allowed to stay as many more days needed up to one month. They are expected to move in and have already paid moving trucks to come deliver their stuff to this address. I may have to pay to store their things and put them up temporarily until I am out.

I can't displace this family I am being told.

Hmm, that is odd because legally the landlord isn't suppose to allow them on the property until you vacate it or until your rent money runs up and that rent money doesn't run up until midnight on the 30th.

It know it's just nickels and dimes but YOU paid for that day and the landlord is allowing the new tenant to use what YOU paid for. NOT cool.

I know a day isn't going to make a huge difference but...well, maybe it does.

If so, I'd make sure my landlord knows that you know you don't HAVE to be out until midnight.
