It did make me laugh....but I just can't do it. Any other takers? LOL Her parents are ones who would get angry. I haven't seen that side of them here but I spoke to her previous provider who told me she had to miss out on party food because of her misbehavior. Oh.....but a candy bar sounds really good to me right now....and I always eat all my food so I would easily earn it!

I provide home cooked, organic meals too... tell me, what parent opts out of having the childcare provide food (yes, I'm now on food program)? I have one mom sending jarred purees for her baby

Mom is afraid little man won't eat what they serve him at home (gerber) because of what I serve here - the baby wants Nana's fresh pears, but mommy only wants him to eat jarred because it's easier for them... he sits and stares at the other kids meals and doesn't understand why he can't have them

That's terrible. How old is he? I make a lot of my own baby food, and there's no way I'd pass up fresh homemade foods in favor of that jarred glop...and neither would my daughter.

When I have doubting parents, I buy a few containers of baby puree, and freeze it in small ice cube trays. Then I take cubes of my home-made purees, put one of each type in a sandwich bag and send it home with parents to taste ::
The ones who've tasted it never want me to use store-bought again

Already did that... didn't work; we have a helicopter mom. This is the same mom that dresses little man in 2, yes, 2 onsies on a 90 degree day and complains because little man pulls his socks off inside my house (temp was 76 today inside, 87 outside). She wants to know how to keep his feet covered, (he can sit up but does not crawl yet) btw, he isn't even 7 months but is 20 lbs if not more and he is fed rice cereal at home at least one or two times each night at home because he's hungry

Well at least they talk about it and know it's at home. Last week I had a mom that brought in a fun size candy bar and told dcg that she could have it during the morning, went opened the freezer and put it in it. The entire morning I heard about the candy bar, until I decided to cut that fun size bar in to 4 little pieces so she could share with her friends. I know, I know, I'm a doormat.

Dcg came in with a brownie in hand this morning. DCM left, I took the brownie and told her, "Brownies are not for breakfast, they are for a treat." Then she refused to eat breakfast because she wanted her brownie. Guess who was really hungry at lunch today? ::
