    Blowouts

I watch a 14 month. Since last month we have had weekly blowouts. We tried three different brands, same size. It goes up the back. Our problem is if we go up a size then is goes out her legs. I should add her waist is higher and when she turned one she gained a lot of weight in her bottom so the waist band has a gap in the back. I keep tightening the waist part without much help. She eats a pretty normal diet. Any ideas?

Can you readjust the diaper so it's higher in the back than the front? I had one who'd blow out up his crack all the time, and readjusting helped.

The other thing I did that TOTALLY fixed it was to put a 2nd diaper around his waist over the first, so his waist was in the leg area of the 2nd diaper, then fasten just the lower tab to the front panel. It looked funny but didn't seem to bother him, AND it kept the blow outs contained.

hmmm that is not a bad idea, especially since the blowouts are always in the morning; therefore, i wouldn't have to have her in two diapers all day.

I picked up dcg 6 months yesterday off the floor... Felt it on my arm... Cringed while I opened the diaper and dun dun dun... Barely anything in the diaper! All over me, the carpet and up her back!
It was like a magic trick!

I would double diaper. Go up at least 2 sizes for the outer diaper. I have a big supply of size 6 & size 7 diapers, and I just use one of those to cover things.
