No Longer Clients But Children Are Friends

So. Spin off of the divorce thread....
Client relationship is coming to an end. Maybe a half sided nasty one with mom. The girls are still best friends. I imagine their contact will be narrowed down to daddy days (dad is a neighbor. Girls will see eachother all the time)

Any been there done that advise on this? How to make it work etc. Thoughts?

I wouldn't worry about it. You will see them on dads days, so for me that would be good enough.

Take the high road and discuss (details are not needed) a bit of what happened with your kids. If MOM is unhappy she may say negative things about you to her kids who may innocently or not repeat it to your children. Don't say negative things about her but just tell your kids that sometimes business relationships don't work out and that while mom is angry its ok for the kids to still be friends and if Mom is saying bad things about you that showing her bad character and has nothing to do with you, your kids or her kids. Use it as a teachable moment.

Ooo good point. Had not thought of that

Right now I have the reverse. My daughter is upset and saying her friends mom is mean. I am not really sure how to reply to that. Im not good at lying so saying 'no shes not' isn't going to work well. So I just try and let her vent.
