Dumb Question

In our new regs. we're going to need fingerprinting done. Those of you who have it done, can you get it at the local police dept. and do they give you a copy to send into the state or do they do it? How does that work exactly? And about how much can I expect to pay?

where we live we have livescan
it's done at the police station and sometimes other places, just check your local police and for us , it was about $35

We were given the name of a company that does fingerprinting. They have us the form & it was paid for by licensing

It's going to all depend on where you live.
I have to go to the police headquarters. It costs me $80

I can have mine done at my local police station or sheriff's office. They each charge $10, but I get mine free because I am a foster parent (foster parents and adoptive parents are two groups who don't pay). One uses ink, the other scans prints. Both places you leave with a physical copy of your prints.
