Am I Just Being A Jerk

I've learned NEVER to leave items on my porch for parents to pick up. I did that once and watched through my window as they picked the stuff up... just for them to turn to Facebook the next day saying not to ever come to me because I refused to give them their belongings!

I now require a signature saying they've received everything.

Luckily, I've never had a family that I was concerned about anything like that. I think that's terrible that someone would do that, but really it doesn't surprise me. I guess my point is, I would just give it to them and be done with it. Why not?

Hate when things end on that kind of a note, it shows complete disrespect and lack of consideration for all you've done for their child/ren.
