    Gross

I go to put out my trash at the street and see a bunch of sunflower seed shells in my driveway . I know exaxtly who they came from because when dcg got picked up she pulled one of the pi k up person's shirt and threw it on my floor . The adult did pick it up but still it is gross . And why would someone dump a big bunch of shells on the driveway . Hello , you know your kid plays with chalk there .

Ugh I understand. I have parents who seem not to care about throwing cigarette butts in our driveway. How nice for other parents to come up on our porch and be stepping all over these.

I had one parent empty her car's ashtray in my driveway. Judging from the pile of cigarette butts and ashes sitting there, she was either a very heavy smoker or she rarely cleaned out her ashtray. Why did it have to be in my driverway?!! I have to wonder if they think you won't notice or if they really just don't care if you do.

PLEASE tell me that you had a talk with that parent! I can't imagine what kind of pig would dump their ashtray in someone else's driveway!

I think in my case, they figure we wont notice because we share our driveway with the parking lot of another business so my dcps must think that we will just think the butts are coming from the customers of the other business. Problem with that is that the other business customers never park by my house or walk by my front steps. Its just annoying how little people seem to respect all of us huh?

Well, it was in my early days of doing day care so I have to admit that I didn't. I cleaned it up and never said a word. Although I still struggle with my backbone, it has become stronger as the years have passed so I would definitely speak up if it were to happen now.

Funny thing is, she was a very nice person and was very respectful when it came to every other policy in my handbook. I never would have expected her to do what she did.

Put up a nice sign on your door about keeping the driveway clean and trash fee as the children play there.

People who do that will not care what a sign says, not do they think it applies to them. Sad but true.

Honestly, I don't necessarily think it's just "us". I think people in general have very little respect for anyone else.

It's evident in ANY public area.

I agree.... for things like this, I don't bother with signs.

                    TOO passive-aggressive.

I address the offender face-to-face. Hoping that maybe, just maybe a slight inkling of remorse might creep in.

Then when I let them know I have video surveillance cameras that captured their dirty deed, I make them clean it up.
