    Am I The Only One...

    looking forward to graduating some of my kids to pre-k/kinder?

    Specifically one little boy I have had for over a year and at one point he was my favorite kiddo, but now I find myself shaking my head at him every day. He is mouthy, way too rough with the other kids, is always comparing his things to other peoples/mine in a not-so-nice way, is the biggest culprit of not sharing, etc.

    I'm looking forward to August when it comes to this little guy...

      Lol. I understand completely. I have one like that in my care as well. Unfortunately he is only 2 so it will be a while. Mom mentioned preschool a few days a week and I said, "Yay!" haha

          No your not. I have 2 leaving for PK and even though I like them a lot I will be doing the happy dance when they are gone.

            Yes, my nephew! I confess, I have a countdown app on my phone... 48 days, 17 hours, 20 minutes, and 14 seconds. Lol.

              Oh my! ::

              When this particular boy turned 4 I swear a switch went off. He's been having accidents on a regular basis, lying, being waaay too rough (kicking, hitting, tackling - and parents are complaining of same behavior so they do not condone it), teasing the other kids (grabbing their limbs, pulling on their clothes, taking something he knows they are heading for, etc.)... What on earth happened to this kid?! He really has been my favorite from day one.

                I have two other 4 yo's plus my own 4 yo that I will have half days this fall while they are in pre-k half days all week. I am starting to think once this group completely leaves I need to only allow 3s & under. I just am not liking any of the 4 yos lately.

                    I 'know' those kids. But this year I have the most incredible group of almost-Ks. I think I will be a blubbering mess when school starts and they leave. I've had most of them since they were tiny babies <---no emoticon good enough
