    Recommend Some Apps!

I have a tablet that I would like to download some educational games on. They have to be games that the kids can play w/o an internet connection.

    Currently I have:

10 year old who just completed 3rd grade. 10 yo is on the spectrum & struggles with comprehension. She's a master at math, as long as they aren't word problems. Eye/hand coordination and fine motor skills are also difficult for her.

7.5 yo who just completed 1st grade. No idea if/what areas of concern because she starts tomorrow.

    Thanks!

Edited to add: I want apps where we can work on the "struggling" areas. We're also doing other things throughout the day (not electronic) to help with those areas. Didn't want anybody getting the idea I was just handing them the tablet all day.

Seems most the apps I have require the internet.

:-( Bummer. One day I hope to be able to afford high speed internet into the house. Then the kids can play ABCmouse (all of the school agers have an individual account through the school system) but until then I'm kinda stuck with the ones that they can play w/o a continuous internet connection.

The big kids have been playing Pou but that's more "fun" then educational.

        Thanks for trying. :-)

Found some! I just texted all my daycare moms and asked for suggestions. I copied and pasted what they sent me in reply so apologies if any of them are duplicates.

Also, some of them may be fun or game-y but I think even games can be educational at times. Like Where's My Water (I like this one)...it makes you really think before acting... good skill building.

          Magic piano
          Color box HD
          Fruit ninja
          Angry birds
          Splash Math
DoodleMaths (does require wi-fi in tuition mode)
          Stack the states (geography game
          Rush hour
          Where's Waldo?
          Drawing apps
          Pixel People
          Seuss Band
          Temple Run
Little Things (sort of like an I Spy book)
          Cargo-bot
          Zombie Tsunami
          Run Roo Run
          Puffle Launch
          racepenguin
          subway surf
          where's my water
          scribblenauts
          jetpack joyride
          flick homerun

            Thank you.

I agree that fun/game-y games can be educational. :-)

If anyone else has school agers/ones going into kindergarten, and have Internet, I highly recommend Math Planet (school agers) and Slate Math - preschool and up.
