    Please Help Me Shop? :)

    I just received a $300 gift card to Lakeshore. What should I get? Ok well, since you don't know what I have or need, what would *you* get?
    I feel the need to get lots of items that are $30-40. each so I'll feel I got more instead of one bigger item. Does that make me crazy?

    I seem to have a problem picking out things that the kids will actually like and use so am afraid of wasting the whole gift card. I need a personal shopper.

        I had 2 of those items already marked as possibilities. The silk scarves and the sponges.
        I've heard so much about those Bilibos; I thought they might like 1 here but then I can picture it sitting there not getting used.

        A couple weekends ago I hit a great yard sale and bought a huge bucket of dress-up for $5.00. My dcks love to play dress-up! I don't have community helpers though so maybe that'd be a good addition.

            What fun! I love to shop. :-)

            Personally, I'd go for one really great big thing. I'd rather have a few really-high-quality things than a ton of cheaper things.

            If you don't have them already, I would definitely use the money for a great set of unit blocks.

            If you have those, I might add some specialty blocks. A few sets of tree blocks would be great. And some Magna-Tiles.

            You could use it for a nice piece of furniture: a perfect shelf for unit blocks, or a front-facing bookshelf, or a cubby shelf, maybe.

            If you had all those things, I was kind of tempted by this wireless listening center. Wouldn't that be cool for non-nappers?

            Have fun!

              now I would go with LARGE items that will last forever. That said I would go with as big of a set of unit blocks as I could getting the large extra pieces. I love my magna tiles BUT they will not last as long as unit blocks
              or I would choose 2 of the heavy duty trikes that last 20 to 30 years
              It:: will wait

                Lucky You!
                I would get cubbies. Also, an unbreakable mirror for dramatic play and something to display dress up items. An indoor climber would be awesome, blocks, art supplies, parachute, geez I could go on and on. I'm probably not much help!

                Have fun spending your gift card!
