(Lease) House Available for Day Care

    Hi all,

I would love to explore turning my house into a full blown day care (limit 12). I only want to lease and not be an owner of your business. Any direction or guidance would be most helpful.

    Thanks

A lot of states require daycare providers to reside in the house.

    Check you state regulations.

Also a lot of communities do not allow businesses in residential areas so you'd have to check on that too.

    What state are you in?

Did you check that owner allows daycare/businesses on their properties?

If I read the post right, the OP is the owner.

He is looking to rent/lease out the house to someone else who wants to run/open a child care.

          I read that wrong. Sorry.

OP, have you thought this out financial? 12 children isn't that much to have to pay two people (you and the worker) if not more depending on ratios and insurance.

Wouldn't the owner just be the building owner? He would get rent $$, not part of the child care income.
