Remember the grandma who showed up after hours?

Remember my post about the grandma showing up after hours demanding dck's things (that I had purchased).

It was during their trial/probationary period, and I sent Mom an email that I had decided it wasn't a good fit and was letting them go. She never responded. THEN she didn't show the following week OR the week after. No payment, either.

Fast forward to yesterday evening, she texts me that dck will be back Friday. Um, WHAT!? I responded with the exact email I sent her, and then followed it with a text stating that I sent the email two weeks ago and she never responded. She claims I was aware she was going to be out for two weeks. Even so, payment would still be due.

She went off on me. I had to block her on my business facebook page almost immediately, since she posted her version of events, about how unprofessional I was and how I 'stole' her daughters things. (again, Grandma and I already had this argument! I BOUGHT THOSE THINGS!) One of my dcms saw it before I got the notification and sent me a message. Same dcm also posted defending me, and saying that what she was doing was unprofessional and how nobody knew if DCG was showing up those days, and the kids were all asking about her and if she was coming back DAILY, etc.

I also already filled the space with PT clients who went FT, so I wasn't changing my group at all, which has been awesome the last two weeks.

She sent me 14 texts over the course of an hour accusing me of stealing from her. I told her that I wasn't charging her for the days/times she missed even though I am contractually obligated to be paid, and then gave her a specified date/time to pick up the ONE item I have of hers and then blocked her phone #.

People never cease to amaze me. I wonder if she will really pick that one item up...

Wow! Thanks Goodness it ended early. Could you imagine dealing with that insanity on a daily basis?
        Hope the harassment ends soon.

She probably got kicked out of her next daycare and figured it was worth a shot to try to come back to yours.

I tell parents on interview that I do NOT hesitate to let go during the trial period if I know it won't be a good fit. It saves both parties a lot of time and frustration. She had her Mom show up, be VERY rude to me after hours, she no called no showed for two weeks straight and then failed to make payments then just wanted to show up? (unpaid, by the way!) What?!

Ihop- that was my dh's idea, too! Daycare shopper/hopper trying to get cheap/free/special.

Dck was a dream kid, too.

I have 4 awesome FT clients, several PT taking up 2 spaces and then a PT availability in June when a kid ages up to SA.

2 of my PT clients picked up this dck's extra days, so I am full. The June availability is now being picked up by one of my PT clients. No more interviews, no more crazy.

This. And so now she's harassing you since you said no. What a tool.
