Right on, CraftyMom. That is exactly what can happen. I used to allow it for the first 10 years of daycare, because it really wasn't often, and it could *usually* be a quick hand-off at the door.
Then, there were the times that DCM or DCD insisted that their child needed to use the bathroom...have their diaper changed...needed me to fill a cuppy...or just plain forgot the other kids were sleeping and act like a water buffalo on crack. This is what happens more often than not these days. Common sense, courtesy, and respect are not the strong suits of most of today's DCF's.
